Nancy Garrison Fowler OBITUARY

On July 5, 2024, we lost Nancy Fowler. She passed peacefully in Rancho Mirage. Nancy was born December 24, 1930, in San Pedro, California. She graduated from Huntington Beach High School in 1949 and went on to the University of Oregon. During her lifetime Nancy was an educator, a wife, a mother, an artist, and a grandmother. She was known by many for her vivacious personality, infectious laugh, and her love of life. As an elementary school teacher in Huntington Beach, California, she impacted countless lives as a committed and talented educator. It was difficult for Nancy to go anywhere in Orange County without being recognized by former students greeting her with enthusiastic calls of, “Hey Mrs. Fowler!”. During her later years, she moved to Rancho Santa Margarita to be closer to her family. She ultimately followed her daughter, Allison, to the Coachella Valley, where she spent her final years. Nancy Fowler is survived by her son, Gregory Fowler, her daughter, Allison Kalman, and her two grandchildren, Alex Kalman and Aaron Kalman. A celebration of life will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar, CA, on Saturday, July 13 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to support HBHS Scholarship Fund via check made to “HBHS Alumni Association” (note: “Scholarship”), and mailed to 8321 Cade Cir., Huntington Beach, CA 92646.
