UPDATED:

Chipotle Mexican Grill is taking applications for its “celebrity card,” a somewhat mysterious perk the Newport Beach company says it has been bestowing by invitation for more than 20 years.

The perk has been offered to “brand superfans who are athletes, artists, musicians, or influencers” since 2003, according to a news release. Now folks can apply for it through July 3.

The application process began June 24 on Linkedin Easy Apply, but has been moved to TikTok, Instagram, or X with #CelebCardContest, the chain announced Tuesday. Applications submitted to Linkedin on Monday remain eligible.

Applicants need to submit creative content that proves their worthiness. It could be a photo, video, artwork, essay, poem, original song or something else, the news release said.

As many as five winners will be selected and contacted via email.

Celebrity Card holders have access to one free Chipotle meal per day for a year and one catering order for as many as 50 people, the news release said.
