Surfside Beach, at the south end of Seal Beach, reopened Sunday morning, June 23, after it closed Saturday evening because of a shark sighting, police said.
The Seal Beach Police Department announced the closure on Facebook around 6 p.m., saying the Seal Beach Marine Safety Lifeguard Department was on scene and investigating.
No other information was immediately available on Sunday.
