Two people were hospitalized and a car was left partially suspended in mid-air Saturday, June 8 after a traffic collision at an intersection in Lake Forest sheared a fire hydrant, the Orange County Fire Authority said.

The collision occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Jeronimo Road and Heidi Avenue. Both drivers managed to get out of their cars and one vehicle was left partially suspended above the sheared fire hydrant due to the heavy water pressure, officials said.
Details on the condition of the drivers and how the crash occurred were unavailable on Sunday.
