Can I use SE880 with my device?

Our SE880 comes with a USB Type-A and USB Type-C cables which can be used with many USB supported ports.

Why do I see different speeds in my system?

To maximize the performance, please ensure the SE880 is used with USB 3.2 Gen2x2 supported port on your host device and use the Gen2x2 supported cable. If the port and cable are not USB 3.2 Gen2x2 supported, the actual speed will be limited.***

Do I need to reformate the drive to use with my computer?

The default file format on SE880 is exFAT. If you are planning to use the drive with a game console, you may be asked to format the drive from your console menu.

For some reason, I don't get near the transfer speeds advertised, but it is still really fast. I remember in high school having a USB hard drive, and it used to need to install drivers and plug in to a power source. This just works - 1 cable. I tried USBC and USB 3.0 and can't get no where near 2000mbs, but even 400mbs is really fast. I'm guessing my laptop, a 4 year old HP Envy, just isn't fast enough to take advantage of this hard drive. After all, any files I go to move also need read from the current hard drive, and even though it's solid state, I'm guessing it caps out at about 400meg. If you are looking to buy an external, maybe check how fast your current hard drive is, because if you can't move files at 2,000 meg, having a 2,000meg drive might not make sense.

I have had ext hdd's, but never used for games except on Xbox. My SSD in my computer was almost full, read several reviews on SSD ext drives. This one was mentioned one time in all of them. Usually that isn't a big convincing experience. However this one article stated this thing was good and in testing held it's own against the other top 5 in all other reviews for a lot less. So I took a chance. I'm running huge games with massive textures, this thing is like it's on my internal ssd no delays transferring at all, frame rates the same

Very small in size. Bought it for my Steam Library games. Runs quite smooth for now. Didn't know that you can't reach speed of 2000 MB/s without PCI express adapter installed on Desktop PC. Laptop USB-C port speed will be around 1000 MB/s.

This thing is so tiny and does such a big job! I run all my games off of this. Starfield, Need for Speed, Hades, No Man's Sky, PUBG, Baldur's Gate (all games big and small). It's a ton of memory with very quick data transfer.

Got SSD for backup storage and gaming. Compact; it disappear in my hand folded. Easy peazy, worked straight out the box. So far no major issues. This device has blazing speed which does bring up the warmth a bit; but that's manageable. Only issue I have is the ~ 1TB is too small; should have gotten the ~2TB.
