this really gets all and any glue or sticker off anything you use this on. this bottle in particular comes with a round sticker sealing the lid under the screw on top. since this stuff is so strong, i poked a small hole with a toothpick through the film. so now i can just drizzle and squeeze the bottle to apply, rather than over pouring if i opened the whole seal. I normally will cover the sticky area of an item with paper towel, only the small area where it is needed, then i drizzle this product over and let it sit for a while. i do this in the sink since its strong smelling too, and just leave it in a corner. you then use that same paper towel to rub off the sticky substance of the item. feel free to then apply hot water and i even use my dish scrub with soap and that paper towel to continue rubbing until the item is smooth without sticky residue, then wash rinse and your done. great product! love this stuff in any form!

This product did it's job! The Goo Gone removed this very sticky unwanted residue.

Pros
1) The scraper was handy because the stuff I was trying to remove did need to be scraped off.
2) It removed all of the sticky residue.
3) Easy to clean up.
4) The smell was not overly powerful (I was using it outside though, inside it might be a little stronger)
5) A little goes a long ways

Cons
1) It is very watery so it is prone to dripping, maybe have some paper towels or something close by just in case of spills and drips.
2) Very slippery when first applied when first applied so just be cautious of that.

I would definitely buy and use Goo Gone again!

Somebody had removed a badge from a car and the residue was thick and soft. The plastic scraper that came with the bottle did not hold up and quickly bent out of shape. I used a much stiffer piece of plastic. Used a small paint brush to apply the first coat and soon, the rubbery adhesive became softer. Found the best way was to use a piece of cloth (an old sock) and rub it back and forth while plying pressure and reapplying the liquid. Soon, the thick part of the adhesive gave up and broke away and eventually, I was left with a very thin outline of the glue. Applied more of the liquid and let it sit for 2 minutes. used the cloth method again, repeated and all was clear like the badges had never been there. Washed off the remaining liquid with liberal amounts of soapy water, thoroughly dried it and applied a coat of Turtle Wax. Car looks like the badge had never been there. Whole job took 45 minutes. This Goo Gone stuff is really excellent and highly recommend it. FYI, don't wash it off with washing up liquid, because that sometimes contains salt and you don't want to put salt on your car.

Pro: This is an original formula and works great as described. I used it to remove a stubborn adhesive sticker residue that remained on my shiny silver plastic coffee sipping mug that fits in a standard car rack. I had planned on giving it to my friend who still owns a car and wanted to remove the annoying tackiness that still remained after using Dawn dish washing soap. As soon as I got it delivered I used a paper towel to apply it to the plastic surface and it removed the large 3 inch stickiness in about a minute. I waited to see if had removed any shine from the mug's surface and then washed it again with a few drops of Dawn to clean it again. It looks great and no longer has residual stickiness. I had already removed the old sticker pasted on it several years ago, but that annoying glue just wouldn't go away until I used Goo Gone Original Liquid - 8 Ounce again. I haven't used the plastic scraper to remove labels that was included for free, but I don't usually have issues with new labels nowadays so I don't care how long it lasts and did not rate it. I'm very happy with the product and would highly recommend it.
Con: I seriously dislike that the bottle no longer has the plastic cap with the small hole in the dispenser like the original one had! I had read the reviews from others that complained about this once they removed the paper label tab and discovered it had changed, so I poked a hole in the top hoping to slow down the amount it would pour out. No good! It still tore too large a gash but as long as it stays upright, I think it will be safe enough to store in the cupboard under the sink. Why they changed the bottle top is beyond understanding since it is a hazardous liquid. Sigh. I didn't deduct a star from it but I considered it to be a defective change nonetheless. Be warned.

I had a sticker on my Nalgene water bottle that was coming off, so I removed it as best I could but there was still the inevitable residue of the sticker remaining on the bottle that I had to deal with. I tried scraping it off. No dice. I tried hot water with Dawn dish soap. Didn’t work. So I bought this stuff.

Well, I applied a few drops to a wet wipe and less than 30 seconds later I had a residue-free water bottle. This stuff cut through the sticky mess and got rid of it. Amazing!

So I still basically have a full bottle since I only used a few drops. Highly recommend.
