The instructions were confusing. I read them prior to installation so I thought I knew what I was getting into, but during installation I kept having to stop and reread because it was unclear when to adhere components; the manual says to position it to set up AI, but not before you adhere the device to the windshield which is a little difficult to do. Could definitely use some editing. I love the use of the product otherwise! Driving to and from work as well as one road trip so far. Gives you some sense of security on the road.

How to Setup:
1.Park your car in a safe area, and turn off the car engine; 2.Clean the windshield.
3.Take out the electrostatic sticker and install it in the recommended area on the windshield.
4.remove the air bubbles between the electrostatic sticker and the windshield during the installation.
5.Remove the protective sticker on the Dash Cam bracket and attach the Dash Cam to the center of the electrostatic sticker.

24H Parking Monitor & G-Sensor
Parking surveillance mode is when the car recorder detects a collision, it will automatically power on and record protected video. (This feature requires the use of a hardwire kit)
The car dash cam with a built-in adjustable G-Sensor, helps record better video. It quickly captures an emergency and automatically locks the footage.

OTA Firmware Update
Currently on the market, the way to upgrade the dashcam is to download the firmware to the memory card. Install the memory card into the recorder to boot up the firmware update, but the wrong process will lead to update failure！ After the update is complete, you will need to delete the firmware update file to avoid the hassle of running another firmware update the next time you boot up.

Although we are recording under 4K, sometimes you can’t see the details due to the mobile phone screen size. The Zoom In feature allows you to see more closely.

Good dashcam with a useless app
A family member has had a dashcam in their car for over a year. I was constantly reminded of getting one for our car. The Miofive looked promising, and I liked the idea of 4K coupled with connectivity by wi-fi and Bluetooth to my phone.The dashcam was indeed easy to set up, mount it in the car and use a reader to verify the quality of the captures on a desktop. The USB cable was long enough even for a large windshield of the minivan. I hope that the glue will hold in the harsh weather since it is 3M.The unit works very well with my micro-SD card and you get the time stamps with each segment/video.Unfortunately, the app which is supposed to work with the dashcam is useless. I have spent over 2 solid hours trying to connect with Bluetooth and with wi-fi. I was able to get Bluetooth connection on the unit (symbol changes to phone), but the app claimed that it is not connected. I tried wi-fi, and was able to get the app to see the unit. ONCE only, then I could not see the unit anymore. I did numerous resets, and the phone and unit were less than 1 foot apart.Without the app, one must consider the price vs the competition.
