Copa America 2024 top goalscorers: Lautaro Martinez leads race for Golden Boot

As well as national glory, players will be competing for individual prizes as well at this summer’s Copa America.

Featuring the likes of Lionel Messi and Vinicius Junior, the tournament is showcasing an array of talent capable of delivering in the final third — with the Golden Boot award likely to be hotly contested.

Argentina captain Messi and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz shared the Golden Boot at Copa America 2021, netting four goals each.

Both players, though, failed to score in their country’s opening fixture this time around.

Who has the most assists at Copa America 2024?

Colombia’s James Rodriguez leads the way in this category, having assisted both of his country’s goals in their opening win over Pararguay.

Who were the previous top scorers at the Copa America?

The first Copa America event took place in 1916 and there has been plenty of goalscorers along the way.
