Tom Brady watched Birmingham City for the first time after becoming a minority owner of the English second division football club.
NFL legend Brady, 46, entered into a partnership with U.S.-based Knighthead Capital Management LLC — which completed its takeover of Birmingham in July — earlier this month.

Brady was at the Championship club’s St Andrew’s home ground on Saturday afternoon to watch in person as Birmingham beat Leeds United 1-0 thanks to a 91st-minute Lukas Jutkiewicz penalty.
He also took time to meet supporters at a local pub ahead of the game.
Birmingham are ninth in the table after a win and a draw from their opening two games of the new season.

Birmingham announced the seven-time Super Bowl champion as chair of the advisory board, a role which will see Brady “working directly with the club’s board and members of Birmingham City Football Club’s leadership team”.
Upon the announcement, Brady said: “Birmingham City is an iconic club with so much history and passion and to be part of the Blues is a real honour for me.
“Birmingham City Football Club is built on teamwork and determination and I’m excited to work alongside the board, management and players to make our second city club second to none.
“I’ve been part of some amazing teams in my day, and I’m looking forward to applying my perspective to create that same success here in Birmingham.”
Brady is not the first former NFL star to invest in English football. In May, former defensive end JJ Watt become a minority investor in Burnley, who were promoted to the Premier League from the Championship last season.
Watt was at Turf Moor on Friday night as Burnley lost their opening Premier League game of the season, with reigning champions Manchester City running out 3-0 winners.
