Editor’s Note: And That’s on Growth

The New York Times welcomes three new additions to the Games editorial team.

You may have noticed a few changes in the past couple of months. These changes are a sign of growth, and not just in the ways you would think. Changes, such as adding new games or team members, always create the opportunity to re-examine what we do and why we do it, and that means we’re constantly trying new approaches and styles that allow us to express ourselves and provide our community with thought-provoking and fun puzzles and stories.

So far this year, we’ve added three new members to the team:

  • Christina Iverson, associate puzzle editor, who works on editing the crossword (and is a very accomplished constructor herself). Be on the lookout for a fun project from her in the next few months!

  • Elie Levine, assistant community engagement manager, who works directly with our solvers in the comments. She also runs the new Wordle Review series we’re trying out.

  • Sam Corbin, associate puzzle writer, who is our new Monday to Wednesday Wordplay columnist. Once she’s in her rhythm, she’ll be writing some fun stories for us, too.

As always, thank you for supporting the work the editorial team does, and for your many words of encouragement and occasionally constructive [Editor’s note on the editor’s note: Insert a winky-face emoji and a blushing emoji] criticism.
