Two boys ages 12 and 13 who were shot and wounded in a Bronx McDonald’s were targeted after getting into an argument with two girls with gang ties, police said Tuesday.

The victims were shot inside the fast food joint on White Plains Road near Mace Ave. in Allerton around 9:50 p.m. Saturday, according to cops.

Before the gunfire, the boys had “harsh words” with the girls, ages 15 and 16, one of whom was on the phone, NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said at a Tuesday news conference.

Police say the gunman intentionally targeted both victims when he opened fire 9:50 p.m. Saturday inside the fast food joint on White Plains Road near Mace Ave. in Allerton.

“Our belief is that words were exchanged with the girls [and] the girls called their fellas,” Kenny said.

Shortly after, a gunman and a posse of about 10 others walked into the restaurant and asked, “What happened?” before firing off shots.

The younger boy was shot four times in the back and buttocks and twice in the lower leg. The 13-year-old victim was shot twice in the lower leg, Kenny said.

The shooter and his crew took off and the victims were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where they survived the shooting.

Neither of the victims had any previous contact with the Police Department, and they have no gang ties, according to police.

The girls they first argued with are both linked to gangs, according to Kenny.

Police are still looking for the gunman, who was last seen wearing a black hoodie with pink writing on the front.
