“Machete” star Danny Trejo threw punches — and a chair — at a person during a Fourth of July parade in Los Angeles, sparking an all out brawl in the crowded street.

Video obtained by TMZ shows Trejo sitting in the passenger seat of a vintage convertible, riding through the Sunland-Tujunga neighborhood as part of the Independence Day festivities.

He appears in good spirits, smiling for fans who are snapping photos, until the vehicle he’s in gets struck by a water balloon.

The 80-year-old actor then steps out of the car, stomps toward his target, and takes a swing at a man in the crowd, sending water flying everywhere.

Several people nearby were quick to join the scuffle, which quickly escalated before bystanders were able to separate Trejo from the neighborhood folk. Before that, Trejo was seen grabbing a green folding chair and hurling it at the group of brawlers.

A parade-goer told ABC 7 the melee lasted about 10 minutes and that cops responded to the scene. They dispersed the group without making any arrests.

“This parade is like a thing where you throw water balloons back and forth at each other,” witness Stanley Herrarte said. “The reason why Danny was so infuriated was because usually people don’t throw water balloons at fancy cars when they come by.”

Trejo has not yet commented on the incident. In an Instagram post shared the same day as the fight, Trejo urged pet owners to watch out for their dogs on the Fourth of July.

The message came days after he revealed his own pup, a chihuahua named Dixie Wixie, had died.
