Travis Scott has taken the stage in his first live performance since last year’s devastating crowd-crushing tragedy at Astroworld.

He surfaced at a pre-Oscars party on Saturday night to do a short set at a Bel Air home before the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Venus and Serena Williams, Kaia Gerber, Tobey Maguire and other celebs, TMZ reported.

The rapper was reportedly relaxed and socializing, according to TMZ.

He faces multiple lawsuits for what took place last November at his multi-day Astroworld festival in Houston, when the crowd rushed the stage about an hour into his performance. Fans “began to compress toward the front of the stage,” Houston Fire Chief Sam Peña said at the time, sending the rest of the crowd into a panic.

People fell and became unconscious, which amplified the panic. More than 300 people were injured, including 23 who were taken to the hospital, 10 of whom ultimately died. They ranged in age from 9 to 27.

All this happened as Scott kept performing, oblivious, he said, to what was happening beneath him, though he was “devastated” when he found out. He said he was not told to stop the show, and that amid the lights, sound and pyrotechnics it was nigh impossible to distinguish audience energy from danger from the stage.

“You can only help what you can see,” he said in a December interview.
