Industry standard facilities
We’ve created a learning environment that’s as close as possible to the real world of industry. You’ll have access to a fully functioning TV studio, with production facilities and three radio studios all developed to industry standard.
TV Studio
Our TV studio boasts 4 Blackmagic Ursa Broadcast 4K cameras, autocue script prompting, a large practical presentation area with 75” backscreen LED display, green screen chromakey area, Full studio lighting rig with DMX-controlled LED, tungsten and fluorescent fixtures, and presenter and crew wired/wireless comms system.
TV Gallery
The gallery is the production centre, and includes the NewTek TriCaster 2 Elite vision mixing and playout system, NewTek TalkShow Skype Broadcast TX system, 32 channel digital audio mixer, 48 channel DMX lighting desk, QNews NRCS rundown and script management system, and TecPro and Hollyland wired/wireless comms system.
Radio studios
We have 3 radio studios with Axia IQ broadcast digital consoles and QOR 16/32 audio engines with 7 mics in the large studio. All studios include Rode RodeCaster II for podcast production, integrated with radio production system and are fully soundproofed and networked with the Burli newsroom software for playout. We also have 2 voice-over recording cubicles.
Newsroom
Our industry standard newsroom is the perfect journalistic environment. It has a 96-seat Newsroom A and 24-seat Newsroom B, plus 2 additional 22-seat training rooms with full Adobe Creative Cloud suite, Burli newsroom software system, live news feeds, and QNews newsroom control system. It is also inclusive, with adjustable-height desks.
