As an international student, you may find that studying in the UK is different from your previous learning experience in your home country. The Starting at NTU webpages provide useful information to help students prepare themselves for their studies at NTU. If you need extra support to help you through the transition, there are a number of schemes aimed at providing help to all NTU students with their studies. NTU offers English language development to all international students studying on degree courses at NTU. Academic English provides focused support in the skills you need to develop your English in your own subject area and you can contact the Academic English Team to access classes, events and tutorials.

NTU also offers all students the opportunity to study English as Foreign Language (EFL) or Business English for non-native speakers of English as part of the University Language Programme (ULP). Find out more about ULP or send our team an email.
