Through our partner Nottingham Trent International College (NTIC), part of Kaplan International, you can study Pre-Masters courses to progress to postgraduate courses at NTU.

What is a Pre-Master?

Pre-Masters are an extra year of study that allows students who don’t have the required entry requirements to study a degree in the UK.

We offer Pre-Masters in these subject areas.

  • Business, law and social sciences.
  • Computing.

As an NTIC student, you’ll be studying on the City Campus with full access to facilities, services and social events at NTU.

Entry requirements to Pre-Masters

For the Pre-Masters courses, the typical entry requirements are at least 3 years of higher education and UKVI IELTS 5.5 (minimum of 5.0 in all skills).

If you do not meet the English language entry level but have at least UKVI IELTS 4.5 (minimum 4.0 in all skills) you can do a course that includes extended English and skills (EES).

There are several start dates for Pre-Masters. You may be able to start in Spring (January – April), Summer (May – August) or Autumn (September – November). Your start date will depend on your academic level and English language level as well as your progression degree start date.
