Please note that these entry requirements are guidelines only. If you have questions about your qualification or it is not listed here, please contact us.

  • An overall grade of 75%+ required in first year for entry onto a Bachelors degree.

  • A 80%+ grade required for entry into a Masters degree.

You’ll need an IELTS qualification at the appropriate grade or an alternative English language qualification.

Students who do not meet the English language requirements are encouraged to complete a pre-sessional English course.

Application deadline for Afghan students

We know that in previous years, Afghan nationals have experienced extensive wait times from the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) services. This often means students are unable to arrive in time for the start of their course at NTU and must defer to the next intake.

For this reason we have put a deadline in place by which you must meet all the conditions of your offer. When you have met your conditions, your place will be confirmed, and we’ll issue you with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) email. This is what you need to begin the visa application process.

For September 2024 entry the deadline to meet conditions was Friday 17 May 2024.

If you are applying to NTU after this deadline, our Admissions team will contact you to ask if you would like to defer your application to the next intake. If you have any questions about this, please contact us for advice.
