Live Client brief 2024 with Artist Andrew Logan x NTU FCP!

Andrew Logan’s new collaboration with fashion designer Stella McCartney has brought his Wearable Art pieces to the runway once again.

Final year NTU Fashion, Communication & Promotion BA (Hons) students had the opportunity to respond to a timely brief with the legendary artist:

How can we create opportunities for new audiences to engage with Andrew’s work and be inspired and transformed by his vivid history and uplifting and revolutionary values?

Senior Lecturer, Angi Fletcher travelled with a group of final year FCP students to visit The Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture in Berriew, Welshpool as part of their live client experience and introduction to the brief.

Previously, in September to December 2021, NTU was proud to present The Joy of Sculpture in Bonington Gallery.  A solo exhibition, curated by Josh Lockwood-Moran, showcased a collection of Andrew Logan’s work spanning 50 years of practice.

Andrew – one of Britain’s most iconic artists, a sculptor, painter, and jewellery artist – is known for challenging convention, mixing media and playing with artistic values.

The quintessential joy that Andrew and his work inspires, ignites a freedom of expression and creativity in all ages, with lasting impact – a joy much needed in the world right now. For the staff and students alike, this recent project has been an inspired and unforgettable learning experience, producing outstanding results.

"Congratulations! How wonderful to see everyone's enthusiastic response to my world. Hopefully we can reconnect again in Berriew in the future! Wishing you the best of luck in your lives!" -  Andrew Logan

"a HUGE thanks to you and your wonderful students - we couldn't believe how brilliant and passionate their presentations were - how much pure joy and love there was for Andrew in the room. It was overwhelming!" - Katharine Brown
