For news junkies like us, even NPR's extensive on air and online coverage of the Republican and Democratic National Conventions is sometimes not enough.

To help all you who can't get enough of the latest political news, insights, and even some behind-the-scenes photos from Tampa, Charlotte and other events during the election season, these are the Twitter feeds to follow from NPR reporters, hosts, producers and editors on the ground with the campaigns.

(This list also works well for those who prefer their news in 140 characters or less.)

Washington Correspondent Liz Halloran (@NPRLiz) is in Tampa, FL, this week for live coverage of the RNC, and next week, Audie Cornish (@nprAudie) will be reporting live at the DNC in Charlotte, NC.

Reporters Jeff Brady (@jeffbradynpr) and Sonari Glinton (@NPRSonari) will cover both the Republican and Democratic conventions for NPR's Election 2012 team.

Other NPR journalists to watch during the election season are Elections Editor Neal Carruth (@nealcarruth), National Political Correspondent Don Gonyea (@DonGonyea), elections producer Arnie Seipel (@NPRnie), and White House Correspondent Ari Shapiro (@Ari_Shapiro), who is on the road with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney (and has proved himself quite dependable when it comes to sharing photos from the campaign trail).
