NPR Intern Fair Draws Hundreds From Across Country

Almost 300 prospective interns attended from across the country, traveling from as far away as Georgia, Texas and California, and representing many area universities, including Howard, George Mason, Georgetown, James Madison, Maryland and Virginia. The hundreds of impressive candidates were able to ask all their questions about NPR to staff reps from each department, and were also were treated to surprises: like impromptu tours of NPR Music with All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen.

Emerson Brown/NPRAnd while the NPR News and Music tables probably won the popularity contest, we take pride that many said the promotional wares at the communications table (manned by the group behind this blog) made it the most eye-catching (pat on the back).
For those of you who couldn't visit us at our humble headquarters, don't fret. You didn't miss your opportunity to intern with NPR.
