Intrygująca Motorola Razr 40 Ultra – tak się powinno robić składaki! Recenzja

Mówiąc zupełnie otwarcie, lubię smartfony od Motoroli – sam przecież korzystam z jednego z modeli tej marki. Jeśli mam wybierać, wolę także składane urządzenia na zasadzie telefonu z klapką (Flip), a nie jak książka (Fold), które transformują się w twór w stylu tableta. Nie ukrywam również, że bardzo spodobało mi się użytkowanie Motoroli Razr 40 Ultra, nawet pomimo koloru, który dostałem i który czasem przyciągał wzrok postronnych osób. To udany telefon. Bardzo dobrą robotę robi tutaj ten zewnętrzny ekran. Jest on duży i pełnowartościowy, nie jest tylko nic nie wnoszącym gadżetem wpływającym na cenę urządzenia. Do żadnych podzespołów nie można się za bardzo przyczepić. Jedynie cena nie będzie dla każdego, przy czym muszę uczciwie przyznać, że nie jest ona najwyższa.

Jeżeli interesuje was składany telefon z wysokiej półki i oczekujecie dużej wydajności, to cena Motoroli Razr 40 Ultra jest w pełni uzasadniona. Dochodzimy zatem do momentu, w którym zakup tego urządzenia jest jak najbardziej uzasadniony. To świetny telefon, który nie tylko naśladuje pionierów segmentu - wprowadza jakość wykonania na bardzo wysoki poziom, dając coś od siebie. W tym wypadku mowa na pewno o obydwu świetnych ekranach, a przede wszystkim pełnym zakresie funkcjonalności tego zewnętrznego. Jest duży, prosty i wygodny w obsłudze. Obok tego połączenia atrakcyjnej kolorystyki, składanej formy oraz materiałów i wykonania najwyższej jakości, po prostu nie można przejść obojętnie. Co więcej, urządzenie oferuje również dwa świetne wyświetlacze, którym trudno wytknąć jakieś wady (zagłębienie w miejscu składania ekranu pomijam, bo nie przeszkadza, a w tym modelu wydaje się na dodatek płytsze niż u konkurencji) - ba, ten zewnętrzny w końcu pokazuje, jak przydatne może być rozwiązanie tego typu. Jak zapewne już zauważyliście, ta recenzja jest nieco chaotyczna. Nie opowiadam o tym telefonie w jakikolwiek uporządkowany sposób. Złamałem swój odwieczny schemat, ale wiecie dlaczego? Bo jest to telefon, który w końcu wzbudza moje zainteresowanie. Na pewno nie jest idealny, często mnie denerwuje, ale z drugiej strony go uwielbiam. To jest właśnie smartfon dla tych, którzy poszukują czegoś więcej w niż tylko dobrej wydajności, dobrego ekranu czy dobrej baterii. To telefon wręcz stworzony dla tych, którzy szukają w tego rodzaju urządzeniu, czegoś więcej, jakiejś emocji, czegoś, co sprawia, że poczujemy więź z tym sprzętem. Czy jest to moim zdaniem najlepsza klapka na rynku dotąd? Tak, bez wątpienia.

Motorola razr 40 ultra urzeka swoim wyglądem i zewnętrznym ekranem. Względem poprzednika stała się bardziej smukła i kobieca, a wyraziste kolory nadają jej dodatkowego wyrazu. Jest to bardzo dopracowane urządzenie, chociaż nie jest bez wad. Spodziewałam się już chociażby Snapdragona 8 gen 2 czy odporności na zachlapania, bo o pyłoodporności to można jeszcze pomarzyć w tego typu konstrukcjach. Nie mniej ja jestem na TAK!.

Oppo Find N2 Flip – za baterię, aparat i największą uniwersalność. Motorolę razr 40 Ultra kupuje się dla designu i ekranu zewnętrznego. Czy to jest warte 5499 złotych? Jeśli tylko nie przeszkadzają Ci temperatury, to ja nie widzę przeciwwskazań. Aparat jest niezły i choć zdecydowanie to nie jest jeden z najlepszych fotosmartfonów 2023, to „daje radę”. Bateria jest lepsza niż u Samsunga, a oba ekrany są po prostu najlepsze w tej klasie. Gdyby tylko procesor był chłodniejszy, to mielibyśmy do czynienia z najlepiej przemyślanym składanym telefonem w historii. Dobra robota, droga Motorolo! Zawsze lubiłam telefony typu flip — czyli popularne klapki. Po recenzji Samsunga Galaxy Z Flip4 uznałam nawet, że po wyeksploatowaniu bieżącego sprzętu na pewno kupię smartfon ze składanym ekranem. Po drodze korzystałam jeszcze ze składaka od Oppo (recenzja Oppo Find N2 Flip) — ale to jeszcze nie było to. Aż w moje ręce trafiła Motorola razr 40 Ultra. I naprawę zaskoczyła mnie pozytywnie w wielu aspektach.

Całościowo przedstawia nam się obraz bardzo ciekawego, udanego składanego smartfona. Osobiście cieszy mnie, że wreszcie Samsung (jeszcze Galaxy Z Flip 4, ale za chwilę Galaxy Z Flip 5) ma godną konkurencję w postaci czy to Oppo Find N2 Flip, czy właśnie Motoroli Razr 40 Ultra. Sprzęt Motoroli jako pierwsza puderniczka ma przemyślany zewnętrzny ekran, który rzeczywiście sprawia, że – gdy nie ma takiej potrzeby – nie musimy wcale rozkładać konstrukcji. A przecież dokładnie o to chodzi – by w każdej chwili móc szybko nawet odpisać krótko na wiadomość bez potrzeby sięgania po wewnętrzny ekran. Super sprawa. Co mi w nim nie pasuje? Brak pełnej wodoszczelności (tą może się pochwalić tylko samsungowy Flip) i czas pracy przy intensywnym użytkowaniu – rozładowanie telefonu w okolicach 16-17 nie stanowi wyzwania.

Drugi zaprezentowany model razr ma być przede wszystkim tańszy. Stąd trudniej znaleźć w nim wyjątkowe cechy, jak w ultra. Motorola zachowała wymiary i kształt oraz mechanizm składania ekranu. Zrezygnowała jednak z dużego wyświetlacza zewnętrznego na rzecz jednego z najmniejszych, o przekątnej zaledwie 1,5 cala. Konsekwencją jest pozbawienie tańszego modelu kluczowej funkcji wyróżniającej razr 40 ultra na tle konkurencji. Główny ekran ma niższe odświeżanie 145 Hz, chociaż pozostałe parametry zachował na taki samym, bardzo dobrym poziomie. Zastosowany procesor to Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, a konfiguracja pamięci to także 8/256, ale tym razem UFS 2.2. Bateria ma większą pojemność 4200 mAh, ale według Motoroli miało to na celu zapewnić taki sam czas działania co w wersji ultra, ale z mniej energooszczędnym procesorem.

The Motorola Razr Plus is not a perfect phone. In fact, there are some pretty notable flaws that can make the $1,000 price tag difficult to swallow. The camera system is fine, but just fine doesn’t really cut it for a phone this expensive. Photo quality is a notable step down from the Galaxy Z Flip 5. One-day battery life is the minimum you should expect from a flagship smartphone in 2023, and the Razr Plus’ charging options (while OK) don’t do anything we haven’t seen before. These are all legitimate reasons to think twice before buying the Razr Plus, especially when phones like the Galaxy S23 and OnePlus 11 don’t have those problems — and cost hundreds less. In my opinion, is this the best flip on the market so far? Yes, without a doubt. Is this a perfect flip? NO. The problem is that it heats up, the external display gets terribly dirty and shines on sunny days. There is still a crease on the internal screen, no water resistance, no jack, no microSD and so on. So what? I like this phone anyway and that's what's most important about this device. You won't buy it for consideration, you won't weigh the pros and cons, you will either love it immediately or not, and if you love it, I guarantee you that you will be satisfied with it. I hope that all new smartphones will arouse in me the same emotions as this Motorola aroused in me.

The razr 40 Ultra looks incredibly cool, slim and stylish, and eye-grabbing, the secondary display adds a wow factor and immediately catches the attention due to its large size. It also has a brilliant 165 Hz pOLED flexible display and a competent cover screen. Its large external screen with small bezels is ahead in terms of competition and is also the largest display made ever. The secondary display can be extremely useful, it’s fun playing games and taking selfies in addition to all those cover screen perks that give an amazing experience overall. The razr 40 Ultra is also an excellent performer in terms of cameras and processing power. We got some incredible camera results from the main camera and remarkable wide-angle shots. The performance of the smartphone is top-notch (Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is still quite a lot faster), plus it has Dolby stereo speakers with Spatial Sound adding to the multimedia experience.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra can be described as a generally good smartphone without critical drawbacks. The only question is how to approach its evaluation and how to perceive it. If you look at it as just a flagship for 40 thousand hryvnias, then most classic devices for a similar price (including Motorola smartphones) will have slightly better battery life, cameras (their quality and quantity), faster charging, moisture protection, etc. But these will all be ordinary smartphones, some better, some worse than each other. If you want something different, or something similar to what you had a long time ago, then the Razr 40 Ultra is 100% worth considering. The choice of such folding smartphones is reduced to just a few options, the form factor has already proven its viability, and the advantages of classic solutions are not cardinal - the folding design can be put in the first place if you want to have such a smartphone.

Don’t get me wrong, the razor 40 is a fantastic device and I can see where foldable or flip devices are definitely where devices are heading but my concerns are still there when it comes to longevity but also the ability for the device screen to last more than 6 to 12 months. That being said, the razr 40 does offer some great specs for a price that won’t break the bank too much especially if you’re looking to get into a foldable or flip device. The Moto razr 40 can be purchased from the Motorola website alongside its retailer partner JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Big W, Harvey Norman, MobileCiti for $999. You can also pick up the Moto razr 40 from Telstra on various plan and repayments per month.

Motorola managed to fix all the negativity that surrounded its previous iteration and went a few steps above and beyond to provide a much greater experience. We were honestly surprised to see such an improvement and the Viva Magenta color truly stole our hearts. The hinge is solid and the execution of the folding mechanism is very smooth. Both the main display and the cover display feature the best panel we have ever seen to date. The same goes for the performance, cameras, and battery. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is the only smartphone that comes close to the level of experience that the Razr 40 Ultra provides. But in our experience, we believe that the Razr is a better deal compared to the price and that remains a viable alternative.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is an incredibly cool looking flip phone, with a stylish and useful external screen that makes using it for photos fun, and it’s also useful for games and other apps. This means you don’t always have to open up the phone to make use of it. However, whilst the main camera gives a reasonable performance, and a better performance than the Razr 40 (thanks to a larger aperture, and different sensor), the ultra-wide-angle camera on the Razr 40 Ultra is not really an ultra-wide-angle camera. At 19mm equivalent, it’s nowhere near as wide as other ultra-wide cameras on other phones, including the Razr 40. Being more like a 0.76x wide-angle camera, than the 0.5x or 0.6x options we’re used to seeing. Saying all this, there are some benefits to photographers, as the phone can use used as it’s own stand, and you can use the main cameras for selfies, rather than the lower quality internal camera.

It’s no secret that I enjoyed reviewing the Razr+, despite my preference for the larger Fold-like foldables. The outer display is like having access to a mini-phone in your pocket, useful for all manner of things but whose limitations could be viewed as a benefit in that you reply to a message or check an app but don’t get sucked in with checking all the usual apps. It’s also great for surreptious viewing of content if you remember to turn the sound off. The battery got me through a day without topping up, the displays were bright, and the eye-catching design caught my attention every single day. Sure, the camera department could have done with a few more megapixels although there were enough and it would have been nice to have Sub6 5G compatibility, but as a whole I think that Motorola made the right choices where hardware is concerned.

At times, the cover display almost feels overpowered for what the Motorola Razr Plus needs. Anyone thinking of getting the Razr+ should also wait. The big question here is, whether you should buy the Motorola Razr+? I really want to say yes. But a foldable is not for everyone. Even for myself, I’m not sure I could live with this phone for two, three years, before it’s time to upgrade again. And that’s not to say it’s a bad phone, it’s quite the opposite. I just don’t know if I’m ready for having to open my phone hundreds of times a day to do things. However, if you are looking to get a foldable, this might be the one to get. And there are plenty of great deals available right now, where you can get it for nothing, or very little money. If you want something a bit cheaper, the Razr will be launching in a few months, with an even lower price tag.

The Motorola Razr Plus is not a perfect phone. In fact, there are some pretty notable flaws that can make the $1,000 price tag difficult to swallow. The camera system is fine, but just fine doesn’t really cut it for a phone this expensive. Photo quality is a notable step down from the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and that’ll likely also apply to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. One-day battery life is the minimum you should expect from a flagship smartphone in 2023, and the Razr Plus’ charging options (while OK) don’t do anything we haven’t seen before. These are all legitimate reasons to think twice before buying the Razr Plus, especially when phones like the Galaxy S23 and OnePlus 11 don’t have those problems — and cost hundreds less. However, even with those imperfections in mind, I’ve had an absolute blast with the Motorola Razr Plus.

The Razr+ is a good handset thanks to its large cover screen, day-long battery, and all-around good experience, but unfortunately, its camera isn’t as good as its main competition, the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Despite the unfortunate camera experience, I think most people won’t have many issues with the foldable, especially if you're upgrading from a two or three-year-old phone. And as I mentioned, the camera is usable if you’re just posting pictures just to Instagram or Twitter. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my time with the handset. I like how it feels in my hand and how small it is folded in my pocket. I also really like that you can do so much with the cover screen, and that it brings another element to the handset that makes it a perfect flip-style foldable, especially when compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

If you're in the market for a clamshell foldable then Motorola has created a shining new star in the Razr 40 Ultra – knocking even the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 out of orbit. I've been very impressed with this flip-phone during my ongoing two weeks of use. That said, the Razr 40 Ultra suffers the same downsides as any other foldable: the screen crease, the fingerprint smearing, and reflective nature of a pOLED display. However, with this Motorola there's also processor throttling and, in certain scenarios, heat issues that can cause the (otherwise decent) battery life to bomb. Credit where it's due though: the way Motorola has created a genuinely functional yet fun cover display, thanks to that dominant 3.6-inch scale, is what puts this flip-phone worlds apart from the competition. Your move, Samsung.

That very much feels like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4 and is also one of the reasons I personally am not a fan of most flip phone designs. But for some, as our Andrew Romero commented on last year, that’s actually a perk, and Motorola even mentioned this device is in part made for the “digital minimalist.” What’s really exciting about this device is just that it’s going to be cheaper. Motorola tells us that the Razr (2023) will be “meaningfully cheaper” than the Razr+. To me, that reads as at least $200 less, and even the possibility of buying a brand-new foldable for $799, should that be the actual price, is a huge step forward for this technology. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see what Motorola considers “meaningful.”

The Motorola RAZR 40 Ultra should be launching on June 1, 2023, with a Z Flip 4 killing design - a massive cover screen that fills the front end of this foldable phone. Expect the Moto RAZR 40 Ultra to be released alongside a regular RAZR 40 with a smaller display, and both smartphones to cost under £1000. Maybe. Besides that massive panel, Motorola has also crammed in a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and an internal 6.7-inch AMOLED screen. Those specs haven't changed up vs the 2022 model, which is a shame - but gaming on the RAZR 40 Ultra should be smooth and satisfying, and that 144Hz display is poppy and crisp. Battery life should be slightly better, or at least on par with the previous generation.

Qualcomm Adreno 730: Układ graficzny dla smartfonów i tabletów, który jest zintegrowany w Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Qualcomm twierdzi, że jest on o 30% szybszy niż Adreno 660 w SoC Snapdragon 888. Dla Android powinna to być jedna z najszybszych kart graficznych pod koniec 2021 roku.

Karty z tej kategorii są w stanie pociągnąć płynnie najnowsze gry, ale

nie ze wszystkimi opcjami i nie w wysokiej rozdzielczości. Szczególnie

wymagające gry chodzą tylko na minimalnych ustawieniach, w wyniku

czego często mocno cierpi jakość grafiki. Układy z tej klasy powinny

zainteresować osoby rzadko grające w gry.

W porównaniu do wersji bez plusa, 8+ Gen 1 oferuje o 200 MHz wyższe taktowanie Prime Core i o 10% wyższe taktowanie GPU. Co więcej, jest on teraz produkowany w TSMC, a nie w Samsungu.
