Si estuviera solo en el universo no solo de los portátiles sino de los modelos de Apple, no habría problema de decisión. Tiene un diseño logradísimo por peso y dimensiones, una autonomía como pocas en el segmento y resulta muy bien equilibrado en el resto de aspectos. El MacBook Air M3 de 15 pulgadas supera en potencia a las generaciones anteriores, como no podía ser de otro modo, al tiempo que gracias a la ausencia de ventiladores, el trabajo con él es completamente silencioso.

Well, folks, most of the things that we said about the 13-inch model also apply to the Apple MacBook Air (15″, M3) in front of us. This machine is super thin for a 15-incher, and the weight is low as well. Just like most Apple machines, the design is clean and modern. No complaints regarding the build quality, the aluminum chassis is solid. The keyboard with its good key travel and clicky feedback is great for usage and the same can be said for the sizable and smooth touchpad. Pick your configuration carefully because the memory and the SSD are soldered. Here, even the base configuration features 16GB of unified memory which should be enough for most people. If you plan to use this laptop until it gets obsolete in terms of hardware power, the 24GB RAM configuration isn’t a bad idea if money isn’t a problem.

There are people like my mother for whom a base 13- or 15-inch MacBook Air M3 would be fine for now. Apple’s second slash at its larger MacBook Air finds itself in a different environment than the first did during its 2023 launch. However, this was a missed opportunity to shore up those defenses with some design tweaks, like an SD card reader or more USB ports, at the very least.

Apple M3 10-Core GPU: Un adaptador gráfico integrado diseñado por Apple que cuenta con 10 núcleos. Esta iGPU está integrada en el SoC Apple M3; utiliza la arquitectura de memoria unificada y es compatible con nuevas tecnologías como el sombreado de malla y el trazado de rayos. En nuestras pruebas, la GPU M3 (10 núcleos) fue en la mayoría de los casos entre un 5% y un 20% más rápida que la GPU M2 de 10 núcleos, dependiendo de la tarea. Al igual que el resto del chip Apple M3, el adaptador gráfico está fabricado en un proceso TSMC de 3 nm (posiblemente N3B).
