TORONTO — The Yankees took another pitcher Wednesday in the 13th round of the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft by selecting South Florida right-hander Nelson Alvarez.

Year: Junior.

Hometown: Miami

Age: 20 (21 on June 11, 2019)

Size: 6-4, 220

The skinny: Led team in saves as a junior in 2019. … Played is freshman and sophomore seasons at Miami Dade College, going 4-2 with a 3.71 ERA over 24 appearances, three as a starter, with 69 strikeouts in 53.1 innings.
