Authorities want help in push to solve 51-year-old double killing

Investigators are looking for tips from the public in the fatal shootings of two people that occurred in 1973.

On April 19 around 4 a.m., John Sabbatino, 27, of New Brunswick, was found dead near Otis and Grove avenues in Edison, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release. About three hours later, the body of Jeanne Biondo, 37, of East Brunswick, was found in a parked car behind the DMV inspection station in Plainfield, officials said.

Both victims died from gunshot wounds. Authorities have called the two deaths a double homicide, but did not say how or why they believe they are connected. The locations of the two deaths are about six miles apart.
