Mets first baseman Pete Alonso, a two-time MLB Home Run Derby winner, is looking forward to his fifth appearance in the event he once dreamed of participating in as kid.
“It’s a full stadium, a sold-out stadium for people all there to see the same thing,” Alonso said Monday via the New York Post. “I think the coolest part about our game is seeing balls hit hard and far, and it’s a great event and taking a really fun batting practice.”
