It’s better than last year but not compared to the rest of the Big Ten.

Rutgers finished 66th in the final standings of the Learfield Directors’ Cup for the 2023-2024 academic year, which were released Tuesday for Division 1 athletic programs. The Scarlet Knights finished last of the 14 schools in the Big Ten for the second year in a row but came within five spots of three other conference schools — Maryland (61st), Iowa (64th) and Purdue (65th).
