The executive director and principal of an embattled public charter school in Asbury Park and Neptune have been placed on administrative leave, and top officials throughout the charter organization have vowed to slash their salaries, NJ Advance Media has learned.

The movement comes 11 days after an NJ Advance Media investigation found that Jodi and Tim McInerney, wife and husband and executive director and principal of College Achieve Asbury Park, used a family-owned business to produce thousands of dollars of school apparel at taxpayer expense and in direct violation of New Jersey school ethics laws.
