NEW YORK — The Mets are already active three weeks before the July 30 MLB Trade Deadline.
On Tuesday, the Mets announced they acquired right-handed reliever Phil Maton from the Rays. In a corresponding move, left-hander Joey Lucchesi was designated for assignment.
