Teen scooter driver seriously injured in crash with car in Trenton, police say

A teen who was riding a Razor scooter in Trenton on the Fourth of July was injured after he was involved in a crash with a car, police said.

The scooter stuck a Toyota Sienna on Division Street around 9:50 p.m., police said. When officers arrived, the teen was lying in the road and was unresponsive, according to a statement from the Trenton Police Department.

The rider was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center with serious injuries and was still unresponsive as of Friday afternoon, investigators said.

It was unclear exactly how the crash happened as it was still under investigation by the department.
