$1M Powerball ticket bought in N.J. was sold at convenience store

The $1 million Powerball ticket bought in New Jersey for Saturday’s lottery drawing was sold at a convenience store in Monmouth County.

The lucky winner purchased the second-prize ticket at Soda King on Gordons Corner Road in Manalapan, state lottery officials said Monday.

The winning numbers were 26, 51, 54, 61 and 69. The Powerball was 25, with a Power Play of 3X.

A winning $1 million ticket that matched five numbers was also sold in Indiana.

Monday’s jackpot is worth $125 million with a cash option of $59.6 million.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million. The odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is valued at $137 million with a cash option of $64.5 million.
