Player of the Year: Brent Romano, Howell
Brent Romano returned as one of the best hitters in the state and put up insane numbers to back up that notion this season. He led the state with 485 kills, which is 120 more than anyone else. He logged 10 games with 20 or more assists, including a season-high of 33 in a win over Marlboro. This was the most in a single game by any player this season. He helped lead Howell back to the Shore Conference final for the third consecutive year and the semifinal of the sectional tournament. His 485 kills is the ninth most in a single season in state history.
