From the courts of Fort Lee to televisions and screens everywhere, one of the best-ever high school girls tennis players to come out of New Jersey, Stephanie Yakoff, is being featured in an upcoming docuseries this summer.

UNINTERRUPTED’S Top Class Tennis, a four-episode series, will air on July 18 on Amazon’s Prime Video and Freevee.

Top Class Tennis gives viewers “an all-access look into the demanding world of junior tennis and the elite teenage players striving to go pro”. The inaugural season showcases three-time NJ.com Player of the Year and three-time NJSIAA state singles champion, Yakoff and three other talented players Stiles Brockett, Joseph Oyebog Jr. and Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo “as they make their way to the Orange Bowl, a competition that could make or break their careers as tennis pros”.

“The world of junior tennis is organized chaos,” Yakoff said in the trailer released earlier this week. “I’ll basically play until I drop.”

Top Class Tennis is produced by UNINTERRUPTED for Amazon MGM Studios and by executive producers LeBron James, Maverick Carter, Jamal Henderson, Philip Byron, Sloane Stephens (2017 U.S. Open champion) and Wendy Goldberg, along with co-executive producers Matt Rissmiller and Camille Maratachi with Nikki Spetseris serving as the showrunner.

Yakoff finished her career at Fort Lee in 2022 with a perfect 63-0 record. She won the state singles tournament in 2019, ‘21 and ‘22 (there was no tourney in 2020), and she was a three-time Bergen County Tournament singles champion.

A two-time All-American, Yakoff was named Overall Female Athlete of the Year at NJ.com’s inaugural Game Changer Awards in 2023.

Yakoff just finished her freshman season at Harvard where she posted an 18-5 overall singles record, including 10-3 in dual matches. She went 8-2 from No. 2 singles including 5-1 in Ivy League action as she earned All-Ivy League Second Team honors.

During her career, Yakoff placed first in a slew of tournaments including the 2019 Junior Orange Bowl.

“Super excited that UNINTERRUPTED Top Class Tennis will be airing this summer, July 18th on Amazon,” Yakoff said in a recent Instagram post. “I had an amazing time filming the past few years and can’t wait to see the final product. Huge thanks to everyone involved and everyone who supported me throughout my junior career.”
