Sure, New York City is loaded with some superb hot dog spots. And Eater thought so, too, releasing their ultimate guide to New York City hot dogs on Thursday, listing “30 snappy, standout hot dogs around NYC.”

Chili dog, one with mustard and sauerkraut, Hiram's, Fort Lee

But wait — three of those spots are actually in New Jersey! Eater’s list mentioned Boulevard Drinks in Jersey City, Hiram’s in Fort Lee and Rutt’s Hut in Clifton.

Eater talked about Rutt’s Hut’s mixed meat sausage with their unique relish, Hiram’s deep-fried North Jersey-style glizzy and Boulevard Drinks’ Greek meat sauce topping.

Boulevard Drinks, Jersey City

These come as no surprise to us as all of these joints were on our ranking of best hot dog joints in New Jersey, with Rutt’s Hut reigning supreme at No. 1.

But hey Eater, if you’re going to take places out of our beautiful state, put us in the headline instead of just categorizing us with the Big Apple because clearly, we know our hot dogs, too.
