N.J. Pinelands forest fire 90% contained at 4,300 acres. No homes threatened.

A 4,300-acre Pinelands forest fire apparently ignited by illegal fireworks continued to burn through Wharton State Forest on Monday, but officials said there were no threats to homes or businesses and that the blaze is now 90% contained.

The fire, dubbed the “Tea Time Hill Wildfire” by state officials, has been burning in Burlington County for days and is about four times the size of a fire that burned through 510 acres at the same forest in April.
