Entry Level Employee: Wegmans is a family owned business, whose values make it a great place to work. The management at Wegmans is very accommodating and provides extensive resources and support to employees. For example, I was able to keep my job at Wegmans while attending college in a different state. They were accommodating to my hours when I wanted to work while I was at home on break. In addition, they provide many resources. Employees can receive discounts, scholarships, mental and physical health resources etc.
Something that I would like to see change at Wegmans is the management system. At the location that I work at, the management can be very inconsistent in that there are new managers almost every month in the Front End Dept. With this, rules and policies frequently change and it is hard to keep track of. In addition, managers can be discourteous of employees. For example, the "Helping Hands" team, who pulls carts, at times is shamed for needing to take breaks while working in hot weather.... Read 175 reviews
