There is definitely room for lateral growth if you put the work in, and overall the experience is good. They do care about the wellbeing of the employees and seem to work well with your personal lives and schedules. The only issue that I had while working there was in the sense of the sales performance requirements. The metrics that they measured your performance on felt almost unreachable in the quiet times of the year, and they did heavily focus on the performance of the employees heavily. Experienced Employee: I worked at Life Time Fitness in North Carolina for over 3 years. I absolutely loved working there. A huge part of that was my manager and the staff were wonderful. The environment was clean and bright and you're surrounded by healthy food and healthy people. Sure, you had the occasional rude customer, but typically people were very friendly. One good thing is that we get more paid time offs than other companies. But it does mean that the company have strict attendance guidelines, which are not hard to follow. Most coworkers are of diverse backgrounds and different cultures are welcomed and celebrated in the company. The pay can be better but because of all the extra medical, dental, and 401k benefits, it looks like we get a lot more than our income.
