NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Reviews
Rating 4.54 out of 5 24 reviews
As a healthcare worker, it is tough sometimes when it comes to emotion management and composure. However, the hospital HR team provides Health & Wellness coaches who check-in on staff periodically ensuring staff are healthy physically and emotionally. The hospital also provides resources to maintain mental health. NYP is a good healthcare system to work with. All staff are on the same page to provide amazing work as they put patients first. Everyone are aligned to good citizenship and promoting positive patient experience.
NYP is overall a great company. I cannot speak for all departments, however, the Internal Audit Department is an excellent place to work. Everyone is friendly and respectful, a key part of the culture. Pay is above average for this field and managers allow staff to work remotely, which was especially helpful during the pandemic. I would definitely recommend working here. Managers are understanding and allow you to be flexible with your work schedule when necessary. Additionally, summer Fridays are offered where we are dismissed early. That's definitely a plus.
Working at NYP is one of those jobs where you know you are with a company that will offer many opportunities for growth. Be it tuition reimbursement or internal job opportunities and more. Still through out my seven years with the company and numerous job applications, I have only been able to achieve a lateral movement to a new job. At a place like this the old saying " its not what you know, but who you know" stands atop everything else. I'm not one to suck up for a job, rather I allow my worth ethic to shine. However that doesn't do me any good here. In the past years I've had a total of five interviews, for jobs that I should be qualified for. Only to be over looked for someone who knows the hiring manager closely. Still it hasn't dulled my pursuits, I just now know where to focus my efforts, on school.
