I have been in Poolesville all of my life and can honestly say that I feel completely safe in this little town of 5500. I was very fortunate to attend the #1 high school in the State of Maryland. My mom grew up here and decided that she wanted to raise her family here also. This little town has lost of activities and a lot of small businesses that are supported by the towns people. Poolesville has a lot of parks. Kids are seen out and about all the time, riding their bikes and skateboards. It is a very quaint community.
A relatively remote are to live, meaning everything is a drive away. There is a strong sense of community and safety knowing the majority of the residents. Great place for kids to grow up!
I have lived in Poolesville my entire life. My mother grew up here, attended the elementary school and the high school. The same schools that I attended. In fact, when I was in elementary school I had a couple of my mom's teachers from when she went there. Poolesville is a small town, kind of like Mayberry, where everyone knows everyone. I made some great friends in Poolesville and I am very grateful that my parents were able to buy a house in Poolesville so that I could have a great childhood.
