Living in Coconut Grove has been magical. Grovites are very artistic and whimsical, which has very strongly formed who I am. Sadly, people have been gentrifying Coconut Grove, and places like Downtown, which were once filled with locally owned artist villages and afforadable dining, are now filled with expensive and exclusive stores. If I could change anything about Coconut Grove, I would change it back to the way it was when I was younger; when I could have afforded to live there after college on my own. Still, I find Coconut Grove to be a place that has a charm unlike any other.
The neighborhood has been gentrified. However, it's rich heritage can't be erased. It's now known as "Little Bahamas.
The sidewalks are in terrible shape, you can find a lots of obstacles in the way as well people park their cars blocking the sideways in most streets
