Houston Reviews
Rating 4.24 out of 5 5,540 reviews
Houston, Texas, is a dynamic and vibrant city known for its diverse culture and booming economy. Home to the renowned Space Center Houston and the bustling Theater District, it offers a rich blend of attractions and activities. The city's culinary scene is exceptional, featuring a melting pot of international cuisines. Houston's warm climate and numerous parks provide ample outdoor opportunities, while its affordable cost of living compared to other major cities makes it an attractive destination. However, traffic congestion and occasional flooding can be challenging. Overall, Houston's energy, diversity, and opportunities make it a compelling place to live or visit.
Living in Houston for about 15 years now has definitely had its ups and downs. I love the diversity this city has. Being a Hispanic person living in a city full of other Hispanic people makes me feel at home. There’s a sense of community we feel in Houston with all the cultures colliding. The food is amazing since there’s so many culturally diverse restaurants to try. The music and nightlife is also a standout here, making partying the highlight of one’s week. Besides all the beautiful things about Houston, there are multiple things that need change. The violence has been at an all time high with shootings happening everyday. Driving on the highway is a fear everyone has now since drive by shootings have become so common. The drivers here are probably the worst drivers in the US. Every person here either speed or race or do both, causing car crashes putting others at risk. I love living here, but I can’t hide how dangerous this beautiful city can be.
I was born and raised in Houston TX. I moved around a lot growing up and have the experience of several school districts. I mostly have positive experiences with public schools. I can say the only negative experience I've had was due to students being immature. The schools and faculty were always caring and treated students with respect. I love the various cultures and activities Houston has to offer. There's a restaurant for almost every culture you could think of. There is also a wide range of activities from indoor places to outdoor events. There is something for everyone to get involved. I would like to see the crime change. There are often youth involved in robberies, murders, assaults, etc... Things like this can happen anywhere, but I believe it happens too often in Houston areas.
