St. Stephen of Hungary School (SSHSA) offers a life changing education through a supportive, nurturing and faith-filled environment. Students are challenged to think critically and creatively while solving complex, real world issues in our everchanging global community.
Our dedicated Administration, Faculty and Staff work collaboratively in providing students with an excellent academic foundation. Overall proficiency in Math and ELA as per the NY State Exams and in MAP Growth Subject Assessments (K - Gr. 8) ranks SSHS in the top 5 % of schools in the Archdiocese of New York and top 15 nationally.
The Class of 2023 has received over $1 million in merit scholarships to highly-rated high schools in the metropolitan area.

As a parent of two current students and one future student, I can easily attest to the quality of education at St. Stephen’s of Hungary. My children are thriving there and the teachers are attentive, supportive and caring. It is a wonderful Blue Ribbon school. As a parent it’s important to see a school that stresses academics and good study habits. However, what stands out to me the most at SSHS is the sense of community amongst the children, their families and the school faculty. It’s a friendly group where the children aren’t just spending time with classmates but true friends. The parents too become real friends not just associates. It’s a warm and welcoming environment that allows children to accomplish academic goals while developing compassionate and kind social skills. Moreover, as a parent you form bonds as well with other parents and the administration. If you’re looking for a community where your children will flourish on all levels SSHS is that place.
I can't say enough wonderful things about St Stephen of Hungary School, where my daughters have been students for the past 5 years.
