My sons entered St Edward-Epiphany School shortly after moving to Virginia. As a parent I wanted a school grounded with religion, supported by the community balanced with academic excellence and competitive sports program. I could not have picked a more perfect school. From the leadership to the educators the level of innovation, involvement and motivation is beyond anything we have ever experienced. The school spirit is off the charts all year long with an added dose during the Annual National Catholic Schools Week! I was not expecting the extra bonus of the school community with all the fun social events! St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School is a treasure, it's beyond anything we've ever experienced.
As a parent of St. Edward’s for the past 4 years, I have been exceedingly happy with the school’s curriculum, staff, and culture. They have been excited about their learning all while gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith. The community of St. Edward’s is one of the school’s biggest strengths with plenty of opportunities to support not only the classroom but the school’s overall mission. Admin leadership is second to none with leaders doing an excellent job keeping students and parents informed of events, calendars, and expectations. Lastly, the teachers at SEES are some of the most caring and dedicated teachers I have been around. They truly want the students to excel and it’s evident in their weekly communications and classroom activities.
Currently our family has a rising 1st grader and rising 2nd grader at SEES, and we plan to send our youngest to SEES next year. We have seen our children grow and thrive at this school, and can attribute much of this to the strong school community. The teachers take time to provide their students with the tools and knowledge to reach their potential and the administration ensures that the learning environment is safe and while also being fun. As parents, we appreciate the after school activities as well as sports opportunities offered. It has been great meeting the other SEES families who are just as invested in the school and students as we are. Our children come home from school excited to tell us about their day and what they have learned. As an alumni, I can say that the SEES community is lifelong. I still cherish the friendships I made when attending SEES and it has been a joy to see many alumni come back to the community with their children.
