After almost half a year, I feel relieved to have finished this course. I complained to my parents about having to do this course. But now, I am extremely grateful because it all worked out. I liked this class because it's self paced and easy to manage. Something I would change is the video format. Being someone with a short attention span, it's easy for me to get distracted while watching the math videos. I would like something interactive and engaging which would really help me understand and enjoy the videos and activities. Thank you Silicon Valley High School staff and creators for helping me pass Algebra 1!
The Sillicon Valley courses are great! They provide good explanations and are clear so any student can follow along and complete the course through self-study. I would say the one confusing part in the Geometry course that I took was questions during the tests that weren't covered in the lessons. This required me to search the web and learn the concept in that manner, so I would suggest just asking the topics covered in the lessons during the tests and unit tests. These courses are extremely interesting and truly made me excited to do school work. As someone who's always had a hard time paying attention during "regular" in-person high school classes, these courses are super helpful. Silicon Valley High School gave me a second chance at getting into college, being able to fix my grades from years I fell behind. So much gratitude for Silicon Valley High School, thank you to everyone involved for these opportunities!
