Manhasset Union Free School District
Alum: Pros: Excellent teaching staff (except for a lot of the English department). Very well equipped school with tons of resources, quality education, and amazing scholastic, athletic, and creative (musical, theater, artistic) extracurriculars and opportunities. Academics are rigorous but there is support from teachers if needed. Also various class options, including a myriad of APs, honors, and regents/regular classes.
Cons: Sometimes toxic social and academic environment. People are all competing for ivy league spots and there is a lot of grade and accolade comparison among students. There are also a lot of issues with racism, sexism, and homophobia, mainly verbal comments and online bullying. Community is similarly minded and parents can be difficult to deal with.
