Junior: I have been apart of Carmel Clay Schools for my whole educational career, since kindergarten. Overall, Carmel Clay Schools has provided me a safe and welcoming learning environment, always challenging my academic ability and pushing me to be a better student both inside, and outside of the classroom. The teachers have always been engaged with the improvement of students’ academics. However, as I have gotten older, teachers in the high school have less of a tendency to interact and make personal connections with the students, which can really help to build relationships and improve the classroom environment. Senior: I have been in Brownsburg since I was in third grade. I am African American and at first there was very little diversity, however over the years the diversity increased significantly. The staff at Brownsburg high school are all amazing. They insure student safety while keeping education interesting. The thing I appreciated the most within the staff was the connection between them and the students. Each staff member took the time to get to know the students as people rather than just students. There were also plenty of resources that could be used in and outside of school to help us prepare for college. For example we often used Schoology to communicate with staff, PowerSchool to monitor our grades, and Naviance to get information sent to colleges. I do wish there were better meal options at Brownsburg, but the food was still pretty good I would rate it a 6/10 overall. Junior: One of the best things about HSE is the amount of opportunities given. Since it's such a large school, there are ways for everyone to get connected and begin pursuing their future goals. One of the worst in my opinion is how the building itself feels. While the building is a little older, it can tend to feel trapping as there aren't many windows or natural light opportunities throughout some of the building. Along with that, the bathrooms don't always work the best and feel moldy. For improvements, I would love to see time and money spent on the bathrooms. I believe it would make students feel a lot more comfortable if all the stalls worked, water came out of faucets cleanly, and they looked well taken care of. I would also love to see an attempt to see more windows in rooms that have that accessibility to allow the natural sunlight to aid our circadian rhythm. Overall, I am a proud HSE student and am glad I am getting my education here, there are just a few tweaks that would help.... Read 144 reviews

Senior: With only going to Center Grove for one year I’ve noticed a lot. I’ve seen so much school pride in the kids and just overall the participation in the classroom. I will never forget my first two weeks, I was nervous about my senior year and meeting a whole need group of peers, but they made it so easy. In all of my classes people started the conversation with me and invited me to things! On the other hand there is no diversity here which I believe messes with the overall development of kids. I came from a school with people from 150+ countries. Majority of the students are white and growing up without the diversity of other nationality’s and social economic backgrounds shows. So, what I would like to see change is the diversity. Another thing I struggled with was the math department. I tried very hard and often went to aim for help. Senior: I’m a current senior at MCCSC. I have absolutely loved it here since I moved here in 5th grade. I have found that the teachers really prepare you for life outside the classroom and in college. Cascade Senior High School was actually nominated as a national Blue Ribbon School in 2018. Going to a smaller school, I was really able to connect with my teachers and staff more than I would have at a bigger school. Senior: I spent my youthful years at Clark Elementary in the country side of the Whiteland Community School Corporation. It was by far the cleanest and nicest school that I was in throughout my experience from there, the Middle School, and the High School. The staff were all excellent and great at controlling young children and the school was laid out neatly enough for a first grader to wrap his head around.
