Lane Tech College Prep High School
Alum: I had a well-rounded experience at Lane. As a student in the Computer Science concentration, I was able to take a wide array of classes regarding computer science, from AP CSA to classes such as Intro to AI. I felt that I was rigorously challenged while also being supported by my teachers, counselor, and in regard to my choices for college. Lane offered me many opportunities to try new things and take AP and honors classes while also being aware that, as a student, I was more than work.
What I disliked about Lane was that it was difficult to get to know people. Because people were so spread out, it was difficult to spend enough time with someone to become friends with them. While friendly, people were very stuck in their established friend groups, making it difficult to befriend them enough to hang out outside of class.
While the school does focus on building community as Lane Students, I would've wished for more opportunities to get to know people intimately in a smaller space.... Read 3,255 reviews
