Eisenhower Elementary School
Parent: Eisenhower ES, part of Upper Saint Clair SD, has a rigorous developmentally appropriate academic program, with knowledgeable, skilled, and caring teachers, all run by a competent award-winning Principal and administration. During the Pandemic, teachers skillfully instructed kids *live* at home and in person synchronously. Younger students were assigned iPads simplifying starting up their tablet, and Canvas, and Google Classroom (no Zoom passwords!). At the beginning of the year, students brought home a dozen workbooks and composition books labeled for each of their classes. Teachers would give a lesson online, then direct students to a particular page in a workbook with pre-printed directions, reading comp passages and prompts, math problems, grammatical sentences, etc. allowing them to work independently and get a screen break.
