Poolesville High School Reviews
Rating 4.04 out of 5 365 reviews
Poolesville is a wonderful learning environment and offers one for the best high school experiences in all of Maryland. The teachers are amazing, helpful, and genuinely seem to care about your success and well-being. The classes available are varied and challenging, with a wide array of AP's being offered. The students themselves are all kind, caring, and supportive, and you can always find help if you need it among your peers. Student involvement is high encouraged at Poolesville, with hundreds of student-run clubs and events to show for it. Overall, the school also offers some for the best college preparedness resources and information. There is always somebody you can ask questions and receive help from. Everything from the academics, students, teachers, resources, involvement, and environment is amazing!
My experience at Poolesville High School was a wonderful one. My Freshman year started out great with making the JV Girls Volleyball team. The classes and teachers were wonderful. Spring of my freshman year started out great - I made the JV Girls Softball team, but ended with COVID. My Sophomore year I spent online because of the COVID outbreak. Let me tell you it sucked. By the end of my Sophomore year I was back in-person at PHS. My Junior year was much better and I had made the Varsity Girls Volleyball team and we made it to the 2nd round of playoffs. During the winter sports season I was able to watch the boys and girls basketball in person and experience high school sports at its best. I discovered Forensics my junior year and now as a college sophomore at West Virginia University I am pursuing my passion.
Amazing teachers! Love them and miss them so much! Poolesville offers and amazing array of AP classes and will definitely prepare any student for college.
