The Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science is a tuition-free, co-educational, public school of excellence that enrolls approximately 100 academically accelerated 11th and 12th grade students from Massachusetts. Math and science are emphasized within a comprehensive, interactive academic program. Rigorous junior year classes and senior classes taken at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) prepare students for college academics before they’ve graduated from high school.

Mass Academy offers incredible opportunities for students to learn in a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment. The teachers go out of their way to help nurture students' unique skills and interests, guiding them to accomplish more than they likely thought possible. Student achievements include state and national recognition for their research and academic competitions including regional, state, and international science fairs; Regeneron Science Talent Search; CyberPatriot; High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling, The Actuarial Foundation's Modeling the Future Challenge; and the Congressional App Challenge. Along the way, students learn the importance of collaborating to reach their goals, focusing less on their grades and more on learning.
Mass Academy has truly set me up for success. While junior year at Mass Academy remains the hardest year of schooling I've ever completed, it is because of my junior year that I am able to succeed academically in any environment. Mass Academy is endless in its opportunities for students and enabled me to start my college and professional career ready. Mass Academy was one of the best decisions I ever made for my education and I am eternally grateful for everything MAMS has done for me.
i loved my time at mass academy! the teachers were great at teaching and always willing to help, but my favorite part of mass academy was the friends i made there. the people at mams are wonderful and have become some of my lifelong friends. the academics at mams are also unmatched and you have so many opportunities. mass academy let me develop a strong work ethic and prepared me really well for college.
