From Groton School

Set on a beautiful campus less than an hour's drive from Boston, Groton offers outstanding opportunities to 380 students in grades 8 through 12. Under the leadership of Headmaster Temba Maqubela, Groton has aggressively contained tuition costs and, through generous financial assistance, become one of the most socioeconomically inclusive schools in the U.S. With a tradition of academic excellence and a firm commitment to the welfare of others, Groton compels students to further the school's heritage of service to the country and the world.  Groton students embrace the dynamic equilibrium of pursuing multiple interestsā€”lacrosse and Latin, a string quartet and an all-school dance, a calculus test and a peaceful Sunday afternoon. Vibrant, challenging, personal, and just plain funā€”Groton inspires growth, self-confidence and an appreciation for multiple perspectives in a family mosaic of faces and voices from a wide range of backgrounds.

GRAIN

academic spotlight

At the forefront of the drive to embrace a more diverse set of voices within the Groton community is GRAIN (Groton Affordability and Inclusion), an initiative to reduce tuition costs and substantially increase financial assistance.  But the School has moved forward in many other ways as it addresses the questions of  "Who is here?" and "Who is not here?"
